Admission Procedure
Eligibility
To be a MASW program applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in Social or Human Science, such as Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Philosophy, History, Economics, Geography, Demography or Social Communications from an accredited institution or a proof of an equivalent qualification guaranteed by his/her respective government; or who expecting to obtain a Bachelor's degree by the entrance date.
Degree: Master of Art in Social Work.
Length of Study : 4 semesters or more (refer to the RUPP academic regulation).
Modes of Instruction
The Master of Arts in Social Work is taught in English and Khmer.
Application Documents:
- Two copies of the completed Application Form.
- Certified transcripts of completed B.A., transcript of an equivalent accredited degree in the field of Social and Human Sciences.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Two recommendation letters from former teachers or current employers.
- Copy of valid identity card and family book (with originals).
- Four recent 4 x 6 photographs.
Application and Registration
- Applicants who already attended two or more colleges or universities in the past should list all schools they have attended on the application form and submit necessary documents from those schools.
- The documents and the application fee submitted are non-refundable.
- Applicants cannot get admission if they fail to submit required documents in a designated date.
- The documents not submitted during the application period will not be taken into account during the evaluation.
- Students who are expected to graduate from an undergraduate program should submit a graduation certificate form following the deadlines to the Coordinator office.
- Students who are admitted should pay tuition and other fee within a designated time period.
- When an admitted applicant does not register and wants to get a refund for the tuition and other fees, he/she should complete and submit a required document to the school. A refund will be made according to the "Rules on Tuition and Entrance Fee."
- There is no restriction on the number of students to be admitted.
- Evaluation Criteria: Good morals, GPA, student's academic capabilities, language skills, etc.
Admission Notice
- Individual admission notice will be mailed and/or telephoned.
- Admission will be canceled when a student's submitted documents are proved to be misrepresented or falsified, even when they did not affect the decision of admission.
- All other issues that are not mentioned here will be referred to the rules of the RUPP admission committee.
Fees
- Registration and entrance examination fee 20USD.
- The tuition fee for the two-year Master's degree program in Social Work is 2000USD. This must be paid in installments of 500USD at the start of each semester.
Scholarships
Scholarship are made available to students to be in special need. These scholarships consist of:
- Ewha Scholarship
A reduction in tuition fee costs. Students on a scholarship pay only 25% of the course tuition fee. Scholarships are dependent on students achieving at least a 3.50 GPA for each semester. If a student’s performance falls below this mark, the scholarship committee will suspend that student’s allowance.
Number of Students: 25 students are planned to be recruited for each cohort.
Duration: 4 semesters program equivalent to two years.
Program Track: A daytime master's program track is expected to be added.

Although having the teaching and thesis supervision resource support by EWU, the fee of 500 USD per semester will be projected to cover the local operational expenditures and give incentives for the Cambodian mentors, and other academic purposes.
